Inspiration: Outdoor Dining

I love this look. The hanging votives just call to me.

They say: "Don't you want to hang a bunch of us from the lowest branches of the maple tree out back? And set up a little bistro set underneath? And relax there with this Italian sangria after a long day at work?"

Why yes, yes I do.

We have Create TV!

The other day, I sent Steven an email with the following subject line:

I'm so happy, I could weep.

The cause of my excitement? I discovered that we DO have the Create TV channel as part of our cable service. I used to watch this channel all the time when we had free digital TV in Salem, but couldn't find it when we moved. Now I'm catching up on all my favorite travel, cooking, gardening, and home improvement shows, such as:

*Cultivating Life is a great (Rhode Island based--woot, woot!) show that focuses on outdoor living, gardening, cooking and entertaining*

*EQUITREKKING. Traveling the world on horseback...need I say more?*

*Everyday Food. Part of the Martha Stewart empire, this show shares simple and fresh recipes for everyday cooking.*

I can't get enough!

New Hampshire Weekend-Part 1

Our weekend away was perfect!  It was everything we had expected and then some.  Let me just say, even though we've done a fair amount of hiking and camping in both Maine and New Hampshire, we were blown away by the stunning natural beauty of Franconia Notch State Park.  The interplay of rock and water was just amazing.

MAJOR highlight: I saw my first MOOSE!

We're hoping to head back up there this fall...so much more to see!
